As an expert in attachment and trauma, I am able to speak credibly to judges and attorneys about how immigrants and their families have been affected by trauma, and how those impacts have affected their immigration case. I have evaluated hundreds of migrants seeking legal relief.

As a mental health clinician who has conducted hundreds of mental health evaluations in the community, I am able to credibly diagnose a wide variety major mental health conditions, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders and post-traumatic disorders.

I can evaluate adults and teenagers over the age of 13.

Expert Court Testimony

I have been called to give expert testimony in court cases dozens of times in New York and Colorado, and I have been cross-examined many times. I am experienced in giving testimony about the credibility of clients’s testimony.

Simple Process

  1. Consultation: I will meet with your attorney to discuss the legal questions that they need me to answer in my report. At that time, I will receive any documentation that supports your case.

  2. Evaluation: We will meet for 2 - 4 hours for a comprehensive mental health evaluation. I will ask you lots of questions in order to answer the important legal questions that pertain to your case.

  3. Receive Report: You will receive your report within 3 - 5 business days, unless otherwise specified.

FAQ: Immigration Evaluations

  1. Which conditions can you diagnose?

    I can diagnose mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders and traumatic disorders such as PTSD.

    If you suspect a more complex condition, I can offer referrals to the correct mental health professional in your area. Feel free to email me! More complex conditions include, but are not limited to: autism spectrum disorder, developmental disability, traumatic brain injury, dementia and ADHD.

  2. How long will our interview/s last?

    Most evaluations take between 2 - 4 hours. At our consultation, I can give you an estimate.

  3. Which ages do you evaluate?

    I evaluate teens and adults aged 13 and older.

  4. How quickly can I get my report?

    Within 3 - 5 business days, unless we make a different agreement.

  5. How much will it cost?

    I charge $250 per hour of work, including the interview, the writing, and consulting with your attorney. Most evaluations cost between $500 - $1000.

  6. Will you testify in court?

    Yes. I have years of experience testifying in immigration court. I charge the same hourly fees for court testimony.
